Pakistan is facing a new wave of terrorism as we have seen repeated attacks in various cities. Peshawar, Lahore and Faisalabad have become main targets of these attacks. Most painful was the recent attack on a funeral prayer. These attacks are an attempt from the terrorists to pressurise the government.
Controlling terrorism is a serious issue but the present obsolete arrangements are not enough to check it. Nation is also asking the question as to why government is seen extremely helpless and without any string in their hands to find a positive solution of this crisis. Technology advancement has given an edge to the Western nations who have achieved great success in controlling terrorism after 9/11. We also need such advanced technologies. We need a comprehensive plan to revamp the whole internal security system in Pakistan. A combination of human resources and modern technology supported by effective legislation can put a serious check to the terrorism and bring peace to the nation.
