Calculating revolution

For critics, the time is ripe for revolution as every pillar of state has gone awry according to their calculation. But, history tells that time has its own course and seldom calculations translate into reality. Indeed, corruption and governance are problems plaguing our country but this baggage is not the product of current government. These were the chronic problems of the past that have taken horrible shape now. Although to grapple with them is tough for government but discrediting government without appreciating its achievements like NFC award, broadening tax net, agreement with EU in providing us duty free market access etc. These are the signs for believing in the betterment of future that would evolve with time as revolutions prove hardly practical solutions.

The government of the day deserves to be criticised for certain issues but that does not detract from its considerable achievements. The PPP has safeguarded the system in these times of turmoil and the biggest disservice to democracy would to derail it with a revolution.
