LAHORE – All Pakistan Muslim League Chief Coordinator Shahbaz Hussain said that if the incumbent rulers could not improve their performance they should resign. Opposing the statement of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to unite the judiciary and military to tackle challenges, Hussain said that such ‘irresponsible’ statements were being aired to level ground for judicial martial law.
He said these statements were an open acknowledgment that the government had failed to deliver to the masses. Hussain stated that PML-N leadership was undermining the integrity and prestige of national institutions. He said that Shahbaz had ‘exposed’ himself before the public like his brother Mian Nawaz Sharif, and both are poles apart from each other regarding their party politics and national strategies. The nation has been in need of a leader like Pervez Musharraf to steer the country out from prevailing challenges, he said.
