Every year, the international Womens Day is celebrated all over the world with great enthusiasm to draw the attention of world towards issues being faced by them. Hundreds of events occur not just on this day but throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. But the point to think about is does it bring any change in a developing country like Pakistan. In our country, women from the poor and lower class are mainly targeted for physical harm and abuse. No visible change has come to their lives. Whats the use of celebrating this day? This day honours the work of women, celebrates womens success, and reminds of inequities still to be redressed. I wish somebody pays attention towards these women of lower class.
