The report of policemen linked to the lynching incident in Sialkot, being released on bail, is very disturbing. These police personnel were identified through video and witnesses, to be present at the scene of lynching, while incapable of stopping the proceedings of such a horrific incident.
This in itself is a crime, as it is the duty of a cop to stop any unlawful activity, whether he/she is in a uniform or not. These cops should be awarded exemplary punishments, for their negligence, while for future the police should be trained and strictly advised on how to control such unruly mobs.
