Shahbaz Bhatti was murdered because he wanted to bring harmony and peace in the country. Some elements do not want to see a peaceful Pakistan. He is another victim of terrorism. One more courageous person dies. May Allah give him highest place in Heaven and his family strength and courage to cope with his death!

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday proposed to hold a thorough debate in the National Assembly to devise a comprehensive strategy to counter terrorist acts in future. He said that terrorism and extremism were bringing bad name to Islam. Condemning the assassination, the PM proposed to convene a meeting of heads of parliamentary committees to discuss the issue.

In my point of view, it is time we take stern action against the perpetrators of this act. Proper security should be given to other ministers who have received threats. Shahbaz Bhatti demanded security time and again but the government failed to provide him safety. It is time we make a proper strategy to counter terrorism before it is too late.

Just as we thought that the terrorists attacks have declined in Pakistan, they struck once again in the metropolis city. This will once again generate fear all over Pakistan.
