Through your esteemed column, I want to raise a very important matter concerning my area Gulshan-e-Hadeed.
When this area was established, it was not considered to be a part of Karachi as this area lied too far. But now, Gulshan-e-Hadeed is a part of Karachi. Due to its distance, people have to face many problems and one of them is public transport.
Though people have to go to different areas all over Karachi for their jobs, there is just one coach under the name of Muslim that passes through this area. Its route leads to Sharah-e-Faisal through Jinnah Hospital, Shaheen Complex and Kemari.
In the very beginning, different coaches and buses used to pass through this area but the situation has changed now. As petrol prices are hiking as well as the fares of the buses, people cannot afford to change buses on daily basis.
Hence, I request the concerned authorities to please resolve the need of the public transport and give tenders to the owners of different coaches and buses for different routes.
