LAHORE – Low gas pressure continued to irk consumers in the city on Friday. Annoyed by the continuing gas crisis, Gawalmandi residents staged a protest against the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Company Limited (SNGPL) in front of Lahore Press Club yesterday.
Protesters, holding placards, chanted slogans against SNGPL management. They blocked the road for sometime which resulted in a traffic jam. Irate gas consumers said they were facing problems in cooking food owing to low gas pressure, but the government was not paying heed to their problems. Protesters demanded immediate suspension of gas load-shedding.
They lamented that despite the fact that they were not getting gas, they were continuing to receive inflated gas bills.
