According to press reports the Chief Justice of Supreme Court has said if any member of the legal fraternity or a citizen of the country has any information regarding corruption in the higher courts or lower judiciary he/she should share that with Supreme Court along with proof, then a prompt action would be taken against the corrupt.
Everybody knows that the proof of corruption is not possible when the corruption in the society is considered no more an immoral or illegal act. People are willingly paying to buy favours and personal benefits.
In judiciary the well known lawyers are taking huge amounts of legal fees for cases of business scams, loan write-offs, real estate frauds, as legal fees to make the wrong right in the court.
It is common perception that one can buy the justice in Pakistan, and lawyers are considered front men of judges and their huge amount of fee have a share for a judge.
In lower courts, the staff members are working as front men for the judges. This is one of the reasons why the cases are so much delayed. The investigation agencies should secretly find out the lifestyle of judges and judicial staff, their properties and other belongings.
This can provide a proof about their corruption and honesty. Unfortunately, most of the staff of the state institutions having any dealing with general public is involved in one or another form of corruption.
