It is very irresponsible on the part of electronic media that on Sunday, 27 February, they gave the news that OGRA has recommended 10% increase in petroleum prices in evening news bulletin. On Monday morning many refilling stations were closed to retain their stock to sell on premium after governments decision in this regard. People faced problems without any justification because of the disclosure of the news in advance while the government had not taken any decision in this regard by that time.
Moreover, many parts of Karachi city were closed due to public uproar against this attitude of refilling station owners. If there is any writ of government, why not those involved in this fiasco are dealt with accordingly so that it does not happens again and the wheel of productivity is not jammed again.
