MQM activist found dead near Old Haji Camp

KARACHI – The body of an MQM activist was found in the limits of Eidgah police station on Monday. Eidgah SHO Nawaz Gondal said that 25-year-old Arsalan, son of Muhammad Sharif, was found dead near the Old Haji Camp in the Ghas Mandi area. The hands of the victim had been tied with rope, suggesting he was kidnapped before being shot dead. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).
The victim was a resident of the Garden area and had been missing since Sunday night, the SHO added. Tension gripped the Ranchore Lines area as miscreants resorted to aerial firing in the area. Separately, the body of a four-year-old boy was recovered from a drain in Mawach Goth. Saeedabad SHO Jan Mohammad Mugheeri said the body of Noman, son of Nasir, was found from a drain near the Mawach Goth graveyard. The victim’s body was taken to the CHK for medico-legal formalities.
In a separate incident, the body of an unidentified man was found near the Farooq-e-Azam mosque within the jurisdiction of Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police station. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH). The Mehmoodabad police found a bullet-riddled body near the National Medical Centre in Phase-I, DHA. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
In another incident, a young man was suffered bullet injuries in the Shershah Colony. Shershah SHO Zafar Abbas said that unidentified armed men fired multiple shots on Faisal, 26, while he was standing outside his home on the Mohammadi Road.
