Due to a number of reasons the performance of the federal government has not been too good in the last three years. The federal government came up with a number of political initiatives to address the problems at hand but its political opponents devised a malicious strategy to discredit it in all its sincere efforts. The opposition has not let the government explore new revenue generation avenues while the restive bureaucracy did not let the government implement NFC Award and Balochistan Package. Given the natural calamities and unyielding attitude of the government, it can be said that the present regime must be given another tranquil and peaceful five years so that policies adopted by the federal government may bear fruit.
