Family disputes claim eight lives in Mianwali, Sheikhupura

MIANWALI/SHEIKHUPURA – Family disputes claimed eight lives in two separate incidents in Mianwali and Sheikhupura on the night between Friday and Saturday. In the hilly area of Wandah Kara in Mianwali, a man killed his five of his in-laws, including four women. The accused, Asmatullah, had been married to the daughter of his uncle Matiullah.
The coupled had developed severe differences, resulting in regulars quarrels. Asmatullah with the help of two accomplices, Muzaffar Khan and Attaullah, entered the house of Matiullah and shot him dead along his wife and three daughters.
Investigation is underway after registration of a case with Marakwal Police Station against the murderers. And in Sheikhupura, two nephews shot dead their uncle and two cousins at village Burj Attari located on the Lahore Road over a property dispute.
The victims are identified as Yaqoob and two sons, Babar and Maratab.
The main culprits, Abbas and Muhammad Illays, and their accomplices fled the scene after committing the crime.
