LAHORE – PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said he was deeply upset over the current situation in the country, saying that the credit for the current turmoil went to President Asif Ali Zardari who had disappointed the entire nation. Addressing PML-N party workers from Sheikhupura, Kasur and Nankana Sahib at his residence in Model Town, Nawaz said, “I reconciled with President Zardari to change the fate of the country but he ruined the reconciliation in just a month.”
He announced that a future strategy would be laid down on February 24 in case the government did not implement the PML-N’s 10-poing agenda. The PML-N workers asked their leader not to give more time to the federal government to implement the 10-point when Nawaz asked for their opinion. He said his party cooperated with the federal government to alleviate load shedding, poverty, inflation and other problems for three years but President Zardari spoiled their all efforts.
Nawaz said the PML-N proposed the 10-point agenda to resolve national issues but the government had disappointed the nation once again. On the Raymond Davis issue, the PML-N chief said his party would continue supporting a principle stance in this regard. He urged his party workers to stand against the heirs of dictatorship. He said political workers should never support undemocratic actions.
