We have very subtly opted Europe based educational system yet rules, ways and methods of teaching are more or less the same. Even majority of teachers have failed to cope with the requirements of modern semester system.
Take an example of media studies; students securing high GPAs do not even know the name of our present chief minister. Quantity is still preferred over quality. It creates melancholy and depression among those students who are intellectual yet cannot learn through rote system. No doubt practical life is all about your skill, knowledge and talent, but the despair it creates among capable students at institutional level cannot be neglected.
My question to all educational authorities: whats the point of implementing four-year bachelors programme when the level of a student studying in it is almost equivalent to the one doing two-year bachelors? Pick whatever system you prefer, but try increasing students intellectual level.
