Mujahid Squad cracks down on kite sellers, gamblers

LAHORE – Mujahid Squad has launched a special drive against the kite sellers and the gamblers. The squad, on Thursday, arrested three people on charges of kite flying and making and recovered around 200 kites and dozens of kite flying twine spools.
Mujahid Police had also raided on different gambling dens and recovered Rs 15,000 from them that they had put on a gambling. Responding to the police emergency calls, the squad arrested around 121 criminals involved in the different street crimes; theft and drugs peddling, and recovered latest weapons from them in the last week.
SP Mujahid Squad Mutazir Mehdi said they had registered around 97 FIRs against these criminals. He said they seized around 83 bottles of the wines, 6 kg of hashish, 25 riffles and the three pump actions.
