Given the past few terrorist attacks, we can easily conclude that they were specifically targeted at police. This is certainly a dangerous trend and the security arrangements require a thorough review.
Police pickets installed at various entries and exit points should be well guarded and it is recommended that they should also be well-illuminated during the night hours. This will ensure a successful scrutiny of the passing vehicles and the security of the police officials as well. All the police officials appointed on pickets need to be well-trained and fit both mentally and physically. The police certainly contribute a lot to the maintenance of security and the whole nation is proud of their sacrifices. We should develop a culture of appreciating each other and should find ways to increase coordination among different factions of society.
