The Walton Cantonment is collecting billion of rupees property tax from owners of houses in DHA, Lahore. This tax is justified only because the collected amount is meant to be spent on improving civic amenities and developing infrastructure projects. The Defence Housing Authority is collecting Rs 1500 to 2000 for water, sewerage, mosques, and security services every three months. I would like to know why I have to pay a property tax to Cantonment Board for the civic amenities which are being provided by DHA?
