Many times I ask myself a question: are we better than our ancestors? But I do not get an answer. In todays world we have radio, mobile, television, computer, etc for communication but our ancestors did not have these facilities for communication. It seems the answer is a mixture. Some things are better now but some were better then. We have hospitals, beauty salons, fast food restaurants nowadays but things were much more natural back then. There were fewer preservatives in foods and people were less superficial back then.
In past, there were no cars and aeroplanes for travelling but now we have. In summer, we have air-conditioners to cool us down but our ancestors had to fan themselves with a leaf or something like this.
Some things are better now. We have more information available to us. There are greater opportunities for women and minorities now. They had peace while we have fastest ways of communication. We have technology, they had man power. Comparing them with each other might not result in an answer.
