Recently the Swat Quami Jirga urged the government to place a ban on the religious groups found spreading terrorism. This is certainly a good sign for swat district as the people have joined hands with the army and they want to maintain peace in the region. Their only concern is that the aid received by the country in the name of war against terror should be properly utilised for rehabilitation in Swat as the valley was devastated by militancy. Their source of livelihood was damaged by the militants. The time has come to focus on the reconstruction phase before people of Swat valley lose their confidence and take rule of law in their own hands.
