Shining face, black heart

While boasting about Indian democracy at 60, Shashi Tharoor in his article published in a national daily on August 10, 2007, wrote that, No other country embraces such an extraordinary profusion of ethnic groups, mutually incomprehensible languages, religions, and cultural practices, as well as variations of topography, climate, and levels of economic development. But the reality is not as glossy and shining as depicted because he mustnt have had even a slightest idea by the time that monster of slaughter of a thousand Muslims by sword-wielding Hindus in Gujarat in 2002, a confession of series of blasts between 2006-2008 by Swami Aseemnand, the involvement of right-wing Hindu activists and Indian Army officer Col Prohit in carnage on Samjhota Express, awakening of international conscious against Indian states discrimination based on the caste system and ongoing atrocities in IHK will start fading the glimmer from the shining face of India.

These all aforementioned incidents suffice to draw the true face of India that is carrying out terrorism as a state weapon to undermine its minorities, neighbours and global players to bag the role of a global player. From massacre of Hindu Pundits in Kashmir to attack on Babri Mosque, killing of Muslims in Gujrat to Samjhota Express carnage, involvement of RSS member in Gandhis assassination to Swami Aseemnands confession and latest revelation about Indias involvement in massacre of Nepalese royal family, all speak volume of Hindu-extremists involvement in Indian-state sponsored terrorism and then Indias crying over spilt milk to drag other peace loving neighbours to gain international sympathies. But feeding this Frankenstein may prove to be a bad investment.
