Many Pakistani women face the problem of domestic violence. This problem cut across society and is increasing day by day. According to the HRCP, violence against women rose by 13 percent in the year 2009 and a total of 8548 incidents were reported from all over Pakistan. Many NGOs are working towards this issue but most of them work towards the goal of spreading awareness and raising their voices. There are no protection shelters and support systems for victims which can give them things that they urgently need like legal advice and a secure environment. I hope people will step up to the mantle to combat this grave issue.
