Motivation has great importance in human life. In an organisation people who are new they are energetic and have more capacity to work then the old ones, but with the passage of time their capacity of work reduces. That would be the time to motivate them. We can motivate them with the need which they desire from the organisation.

A motivated person will work at the best that will make the organisation a better performer. Every employee should be treated like as a family member. Employees opinions must be considered during the decision making process. This will help open new ideas and promote a lot of creativity and innovation.

Motivation helps employee to achieve short term objective of an organisation. Their strengths must be identified and should be given suitable jobs. The best way to motivate a person is to offer him the job which he/she likes the most. Always try to hire right person for the right job. A person who is applicable and suitable for the job will work at his best level.

The recruitment process should be on the basis of qualification and ability to work. Encourage employees through team based rewards rather than individual rewards. The people who have financial problems must be motivated by providing them money. The person who just needs encouragement, must be told that he is working good and keep going.

Encourage people to develop healthier relationships with others at work place instead of only encouraging professional relationships. When health, safety and communication facilities provide motivation to the employees, the organisation will have their loyalty. The seniors must genuinely share joys and sorrows of the individuals.

Every individual is a unique bundle of needs, insecurities, ambitions, spirit and genius. This must be translated into specific action in managing every individual’s growth, training, rewards etc. The organisation must know well how to get good work from employees by motivating, encouraging, and providing facilities like health, incentives, pension, insurance etc.

People also desire to have good quality of life. Motivation is also important for training and development; it provides employee experience to work with efficiency and effectiveness.
