ISLAMABAD – President Pakistan Muslim League (Likeminded Group) Senator Salim Saifullah Khan on Saturday demanded of the government to halt construction of the parliament lodges immediately.
Addressing a party meeting at PML Central Secretariat, he said that nation was confronted by a financial crunch so the government should increase toll tax on cars above 1600CC and place a ban on larger vehicles. “Industries are on the edge of disaster because of gas cuts and thousand of workers were becoming jobless,” he said, demanding that gas cuts be reduced.
He warned that incidents of explosion of gas pipe lines are increasing and the staff from the gas department was also getting threats in Lakki, Kohat and other areas of the country. He urged the government to provide safety to gas supply pipe lines and security measures for the staff.
