When people are dying and suffering due to absence of justice in the courts, the honourable Chief Justice Mr Iftikhar Chaudhry has taken up the drag race case, which was held at Bahria Town in Islamabad. The comical part is that the issue has been resolved before the case was registered by the police and accused person. The families didn’t even register a case against the driver due to the simple fact that they were witness of the fatal accident and they felt that that was not the drivers or organisers fault as the spectators were standing in the middle of nowhere. I was also present at the event and the organisers announced plenty of times not to stand near the finishing line. In fact, the police had tried too but after every few minutes people stood where they were not suppose to stand.
I implore the Chief Justice to let the matter rest as there is no one following it. If you really want to have a suo motu, then why dont please take the case of Salmaan Taseers assassination? Or drone attacks? Or missing people?
