The recently published harrowing report of murders and kidnapping for ransom reported in the newspapers reveal that the mastermind of the criminal gang hired two houses in DHA, Lahore for his residence and office for criminal activities where he kept the kidnapped persons for ransom.
It is surprising that the vigilant security officials of DHA could not find out about the criminal den housed in their jurisdiction till two murders and a kidnapping for ransom of six crores rupees were unearthed by the police.
This creates an impression that there is much to be desired regarding the security arrangements of DHA so that it does not house dens of criminals and murderers that find a safe haven in DHA under the garb of peaceful citizens.
