Continuing education

Education is the basic right of every child which is accepted universally. All over the world, it is accepted as the most important right which is especially protected by the civil society. However, in Pakistan, provision of education is a big problem which requires a lot of money. However, the continuing financial crises and pro-rich policies have made it almost impossible for a number of people to educate their children. The launching of Daanish School System (DSS) should, therefore, be big news for all such people.

Daanish School System has been launched by the Punjab Government in remote, less-developed and deprived regions like Rahim Yar Khan, Hasilpur, Chishtian (Bahawalnagar), DG.Khan, Piplan (Mianwali) and Jand (Attock). This project has been launched for providing modern educational facilities to the children of laborers, farmers and poor men to polish them by providing state of the art education in a congenial atmosphere.

All modern facilities of Information Technology will be made available in these schools which will provide opportunity to the male and female students to get modern knowledge through it. All relevant sports activities including horse-riding, football and hockey are planned to be included in this plan as well.

Though this is a well-intentioned project, there appears the ever-present problem of proper execution as well. The problem of discontinuation with a change of government is also present. Therefore, I request the Punjab Government to ensure the continuity of Daanish School System even after government changes as these seeds of change have to be sowed.

Punjab government should attain the confidence and support of the opposition parties as the government change shouldnt affect this poor-friendly project.

I hope that this project is not another financial failure for the Punjab government. If it is managed properly and allowed to continue in the next regime, it can provide education to the poor.
