LAHORE – A 30-memeber delegation led by United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes Pakistan’s representative, Jeremy Douglas visited the office of Phoenix Foundation for Research and Development (PFRD) and lauded the NGO’s work. According to a press release, the PFRD has been providing medical, psychological, detoxification services and also taking precautionary measures for female drug users and narcotic addicts under its project titled “HIV and Aids Prevention, Treatment and Care for Female Injecting Drug Users/Drug Users/ Spouses and Families of the HIV Positive Injecting Drug Users.” The programme is being supported by the UNODC. The visiting dignitaries took the tour of various sections of PFRD, including Drop in Center (DIC) for female drug users.
