LAHORE – The Khayaban-i-Aman Media Cup Cricket Tournament will roll into action from Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Punjab Union of Journalists secretary Rana Azeem, organizing committee president Ehtishamul Haq and secretary Aqeel Ahmed informed that 32 teams of print and electronic media have been divided into four groups and the tournament will be played on knock out basis while some of the matches will be played under lights. Rana informed that an exhibition match between film stars, sponsors and Punjab Assembly members will also be played during the tournament which have Khayaban-i-Aman as its main sponsor. Chief executive of Khayaban-i-Aman Mian Rasheed was also present on the occasion. The winner team will be awarded Rs 50,000 and the runner-up team Rs 25,000.

Group A: Pakistan Today, Khabrain, Pakistan, Duniya News, Sama, Geo, Express.
Group B: News One, Daily Times, Nawai-waqt, Waqt News, The Nation, ATV, Alsharq.
Group C: Din News, APP, ARY, C42, The News, Aaj News, Apna TV, Ausaf.
Group D: Jang, Value TV, Jinnah.
