A 12-year boy Hafiz Azhar Ali, student of Madrassah Rukunul Islam has been missing since June of last year. It was not until now that this report has started to surface in the media. The father of Hafiz said that his son had been studying in the Madarssah for the last 6 years and did not return one day.
The police did not take this matter seriously and many requests were made for consecutive months. How many times have we seen the Taliban take away children from seminaries and keep a surplus of militant recruits against Pakistan. I believe that the police can play a better role by helping the family of this child and initiating a search operation. The police must play a crucial role in helping the coming generating from falling prey to extremist ideologies.
