Blasphemy law and its implementation is the hottest topic in discussion these days. The law itself is based on Sharia but its implementation is debatable. The whole nation is sensitive about the blasphemy law and is not ready to accept any change. Apparently that was the reason why the Governor Punjab was murdered. It is true that this law has been misused a number of times and was predominantly used to settle personal scores and enmities. There is a dire need to review the implementation of this law, or enact a parallel law that is related to its implementation. This will not only stop injustice meted to the blasphemy accused people but will also improve the investigation process.
