For the past few months, the security situation of the major cities has improved considerably. However, the increased incidents of bomb blast in different districts of KPK particularly Bajaur, Lakki Marwat and Hangu are putting more pressure on security personnel. There is a dire need to engage the local peace Lashkars for peace keeping, because their role is vital in the local context. The army also faces shortage of resources, also evident from a recent interview of the DG ISPR. Large scale operations are also not possible due to the shortage of funds. So in order to improve the overall security of the province, local peace lashkars can play a vital role.
