Considering the present law and order situation of Pakistan, the importance of police force has increased many folds.
Police is without doubt the most important law enforcement agency in any country. However, in Pakistan people sometimes accuse police for the abuse of power. Perhaps, its the culture that is to be blamed. For centuries, this region has remained under a feudal system. The trend still continues and our police force is held hostage by the influential lot. However, a positive citizen-police interaction can certainly make a difference in this regard. Both the parties would have to contribute equally and move forward in creating a better environment that not only helps in the decrease of crime but also promotes mutual understanding and trust in law.
