The presence of law and order is vital for investment since it ensures guarantee for life and property of the investors. Credit is due to the government in dealing with the curse of terrorism to restore law and order. Notwithstanding, a lot needs to be done. However, besides military operation, government must start marketing the areas of opportunities for the foreign investment. Similarly, our media must now proactively present Pakistan as a safe investment zone.
Provision of cheap energy and a sound infrastructure are also important factors contributing to a sustained economic growth. All these and many other factors cumulatively provide a conducive atmosphere for both the domestic and foreign investors to invest. Kala Bagh dam and Thar Coal potential should be tapped without any delay. A consolidated plan should immediately be put in force to develop roads, irrigation, communication services, etc. this way we will be able to attract FDI to the country.
