This is with reference to the Kamran Rehmats article on the issue of the missing governor. He urged people to let it be. But in the end, he also explained that it has legal implications.
I must agree with the fact that while the banterous to and from between the politicians in the Punjab have bordered on sketch comedy, it cannot be denied that the case of the missing governor is one that is serious and must be taken note of. While people may dismiss this as politicking on the part of the ruling party, the fact that the provincial government was without a constitutional head for a sizable period of time is a serious issue.
The fact that it is surrounded by the absurd political circus called the Punjab government should not obfuscate the fact that it is negligence of duty and possibly a constitutional violation as well. The Governor should be answerable for his actions.
