After having a host of allegations and charges of corruption in his ministry, the minister for religious affairs should himself have resigned from his slot. But he did not do so as he deems himself innocent.
How is that? Let’s suppose that corruption has been committed solely by his subordinates and he is not involved in this shameful act. The question arises then who is responsible.
Pilgrimage arrangements are the act of a great care and responsibility and no doubt the minister is bound to make these arrangements clear and transparent. But it is obvious that he has failed to carry out his liability and subsequently thousands of pilgrims have been looted by the mafia in ministry of religious affair.
It is not only regretful for him but also for the whole nation. It goes without saying that corruption is in every part of the world but in cultured and civilised nations, after having such kind of serious charges, response is quite different and honourable manner .
It appears as if we are having a law of jungle because there exists no modesty in our behaviours and no responsibility in actions. I think the historians of the next century will find us uncultured and uncivilised.
