Cornered enemy

The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for yet another horrific crime. This time a school bus carrying innocent children, resulting in the death of one teenager and injuring five. This clearly shows the mentality and ability of the Taliban to target the innocents. But there is also one more situation evident in these attacks and that is their weakness and frustration.

After the recent successful military operation, the extremists seem to be cornered as they have lost their ability to target security forces and military targets. Hence, in their frustration they have now resorted to engaging soft targets, showing no letup in their campaign of terror. This is the time for our entire nation, in the face of a weakened enemy, to stand together for eradication of this menace.
