The holy month of Muharram has started and with it the concerns for the safety of the mourners and the general public.
Police being the prime law enforcement agency in Pakistan has to arrange for the safety of the processions and gatherings held in relation with the month of Muharram. Considering the past few years, the concern is raised many folds because in the past we have seen bomb blasts in the Ashura processions in different cities. In order to provide fool proof security to the mourners, our police has vowed to arrange all in its capacity to avoid such incidents this year. The general public must also cooperate with the police officials and must take the necessary safeguard measures as proposed which will certainly help in the identification of the extremist elements.
