During the disastrous floods, a number of NGOs, organisations, welfare trusts, welfare societys foundations collected billion of rupees for the rehabilitation of the flood affected people.
It is now over three months and there is no information on where this money has been spent by those who collected huge amounts.
The people have the right to know where their donation has gone. Unfortunately the print and electronic media which was very active during the flood calamity have also abandoned their quest to follow up and inform the people that which organisations have constructed the houses and provided cash help to the victim of flood. The government also collected a lot from foreign countries in donations but so far has failed to show any constructive contribution it has made to the flood affected people.
