A number of mainstream religious parties took out protests against the blasphemy accused Asia Bibi and chanted slogans against the government and those who want the law to be repealed.Blasphemy law is unjust, particularly for the minorities. Most of the religious parties argue that no one has ever been sentenced in blasphemy cases so far in Pakistan. However, a number of cases have been reported where people purposely used this law against minorities. Asia Bibi was also one of the accused. A number of religious parties like Jamiat-e-Tulba Arabia and Itehad-e-Ulma-e-Islam took out rallies in Karachi and Lahore respectively against the effort to repeal this law. All the responsible citizens of this country must raise their voice against unfair laws that are used to indict poor and helpless minorities.
