According to the interior ministrys National Crisis Management Cell, officials reported that a total of 1,906 terror attacks had taken place in Pakistan.

These resulted in 1,835 deaths and 5,194 injuries, from January 2009 to April 2010. According to this report school age children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas are deprived of basic education. Lives, homes and incomes have been disrupted in FATA with the education of an entire generation being jeopardized at the hands of a few terrorists.

It is imperative to secure the mindset of the young ones as they will decide the fate of this country. The children must be protected from this extremist agenda while a concentrated effort is needed to end terrorism.
