In succeeding to bring out a newspaper in this difficult environment you have once again shown your dedication to the profession and the confidence your team of journalists and friends have in you. I wish you all the success.
I remember writing to you several years ago when you took out The Nation, dedicated to liberal policies in a dark political and financial environment. You persevered in your mission and bravely fought against the forces of conservatism, obscurantism and injustices of personal nature, until it became impossible. You went down fighting winning all the laurels.
Pakistan has changed. In Pakistan Today you have opened a new front against neo-conservatives and profiteers. I wish you all the success. I am sure you will succeed in your new venture as well.
