The security of DHA, Lahore is deteriorating by day. The sector in question is CC in Phase IV has been the special target of burglars and dacoits as more than five cases have been noticed in the past year or so. Some houses have been looted twice in a row. The recent case of the burglary in the house of a retired Major is a stark reminder of this unkempt situation. They even took the war medals of the retired Majors son to the added grief of his father. This despite DHA charging hundreds of rupees per month from residents for night guards, who are nowhere to be seen, especially on Eid holidays.
DHA authorities ought to be as concerned about security of residents in their charge as they are finicky about observing microscopic details about building regulations.
