PESHAWAR: Abducted vice chancellor of the Islamia University, Professor Ajmal Khan, on Sunday appealed to the government to expedite efforts to secure his release.
In his second video message, the abducted professor said his captors had given November 20 deadline and “if the government failed to come to the negotiation table before that, they will kill me”. He said that the government should initiate efforts for his liberation, as he was in poor health.
Khan said it was deplorable that despite his appeals, the government had failed to take measures for his release. He also appealed to students and teachers to pressure the government to secure his release.
