One of the most interesting things about our cricket team is that they represent the true nature and psyche of our nation.
Like the nation overall, they are also unpredictable. The team performs miracles in the face of extreme opposition. This can be seen in our victory of the World Cups in 1992 and 2009, just like we exploded nuclear bombs in 1998. The team also likes to flirt with the players and team captain; the same can be seen in our political stage where this drama continues on a regular basis.
The team management also selects a captain that is not even the part of playing eleven. The nation elects presidents and prime ministers in the same fashion. Both have short temperament. Both sit on pretty large wallets but would not spend on the welfare of the team or public. Illegal practices have been found in the both. Scandals have hit the both. The team saw a setback in the form of suspension while the nation saw it in the shape of floods and earthquake.
The list can go on to a considerable length.
