This is in reference to the article published by your newspaper on 31 October, 2010 which says that China considers Pakistan its Israel. I do not agree to this assertion as no big power is a friend to another country without giving preference to its own interests.
Israel was conceived by the big powers in the aftermath of World War II while Pakistan got independence after a long struggle and much bloodshed in which China had no part. China is a friend of Pakistan only because it serves its purposes to counter the US influence in the region.
