The recent report of IOM published in your newspaper estimates that almost 7 million flood affected people are without any kind of shelter. This should have set alarm bells ringing as winter is almost upon us and the fact that 7 million people will have to brave it without any shelter is a cause for concern. Not only the government, but people should mobilise on an emergency basis to rectify that and help these people in any way that is possible. This issue should not be met with the same indifference that befalls most of our pressing issues and results in them aggravating beyond our control. Timely measures will save us the trouble later and save a lot of people from sure misery.
