This is with reference to your front page story that states that senators are making money off of flood relief and importing luxury items in the name of relief goods.
The level of corruption in the government is not news but the fact that some people could sink so low as to make money off of funds meant for a flood-hit people speaks volume for the level of indifference and dishonesty that the government has stooped to. It is true that these are the people we elected and they are a reflection of society and it is the publics job to ask for accountability.
Just because these Senators are influential people and have contacts in the echelons of powers means that their actions will go unheeded. The free media is a tool of taking power to the people and free information is democratization at its best. The people need to raise their voices against such an injustice so that the authorities have no choice but to take them to task.
