This is with reference to the Public Accounts Committee directive to take away all the illegal cars in the usage of state ministers. I was literally shocked to see this piece of conscientiousness as our legislators and administrators are unchecked drains on the exchequer. A particular minister owns 35 land cruisers! Next, he will be asking for state funded acres to park these land cruisers. This level of exorbitance and extravagance would make Nero blush. These luxury cars, as per the report, are bought and maintained on state expense by these ministers. It is good that the PAC wants to take these people to task and bring some accountability to the untamed expenses of our ministers. Gone are the days when Jinnah used to go for state meetings and pay for the petrol himself.
