Thanks and congratulations; Pakistan Today is like a wish coming true. I wonder if we could just take our collective attention away from the nonsensical shenanigans of our political (non) actors and comment on how the public at large feels about the iron pickets that criss-cross entries east of the Canal into Lahore Cantt & DHA.
What logic lies behind such unprofessional and arbitrary checks by these combined MP/Police manned blocks needs closer scrutiny. There is neither any method nor sense behind the manner in which these Blocks are set up other then causing immense inconvenience to the public. There is no traffic management before one approaches these points leading to long delays, scuffles and frayed tempers withy increased blood pressure. These MPs & police conveniently wave people along without have ANY idea of what they are doing. One wonders (and expects) at least the Army to be better organised and more purposeful in what they do. Why can’t they manage the approaches properly is beyond comprehension?
And has anyone wondered how these iron crosses keep on squeezing the road space for poor motorists. Many a vehicle has been badly bruised; but why should the authorities bother?? Please, is anyone listening???
